Sheri Gintner, MS, CDBC

Sheri Gintner is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University (B.S. Psychology) and
Tufts University (M.S. Psychology.)  She has attended professional conferences
and symposia at Cornell University Veterinary School and Guelph University on
topics such as canine learning, behavior, and aggression. Each year she receives
training at seminars on clicker training, teaching children and their dogs, and
training dog sports.

She is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant for the International Association of
Animal Behavior Consultants (
iaabc.org), an Association of Pet Dog Trainers
Professional Member (
apdt.com), a member of the Animal Behavior Management
Alliance (
theabma.org), the behavior advisor to Hello Bully (hellobully.com), and
an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certified evaluator.

Sheri teaches puppy, adult obedience and reactive dog classes at the Western PA
Humane Society.  She trains volunteers at the WPHS to train shelter dogs using
progressive training methods such as shaping and capturing behaviors that dogs
offer.  Sheri consults with shelters in the Pittsburgh area on training, evaluating
and keeping shelter dogs happy.

Recently Sheri published articles in the award winning APDT Chronicle of the Dog
and she has appeared on the monthly cable program “Let’s Talk Healthy Pets.”

Veterinarians, dog walkers, pet resorts and kennels, and pet supply stores
throughout Allegheny and Southern Butler Counties recommend Sheri for solving
dog/dog and dog/human aggression problems using no-force, dog-friendly,
positive reinforcement techniques.
